I thought work performance reviews were supposed to be completed by management over you, so you know where to improve? Otherwise, what is to stop you from pencil-whipping yourself all 5's or "Excellent's"?

We use to do self reviews at my company and I loathed writing about myself. They done away with them. I started getting really sarcastic in the last one

 

Performance reviews start with your own (plus colleagues as with Tiffany), then the superior uses that to write the official performance review.

The sloppy, lazy fuckers where I work must give themselves some damn fine reviews cause they get promoted faster than you can shoot Pez from a Pez dispenser.

I'm likely one of the reasons they got rid of them.

 

Yes, we write them ourselves and our boss contributes additionally to them and modifies our score based on if we did better than we think, or sucked more than we realized. Then senior leadership gets in a room and battles it out for those they think deserve higher ratings because those pull from the budget to allocate larger raises and bonuses which we impatiently have to hold out till late March for. It's stupid... very, very stupid.

Looking forward to a slurry of vices this weekend to put this crap week behind me lol. Thanks for letting me rant guys
