I love Anza, I've got some pretty cool trails out there. There's so much to see and do. Let me know if you wanna hit some trails sometime.

Anyone been there recently? I plan to go out there the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Maybe camp one night. All I really want to do is fish creek/sandstone until “the squeeze” and then head back. I have a 2018 OR 2wd so not looking for anything crazy. No compressor so I would rather not air down

I was out there about a month ago and it was great. Sandy, but totally doable for 2WD. I'd recommend airing down though - it's worth picking up an air compressor for.

Keep in mind that it's raining there today and may again next week, so conditions might change. If it's just light rain, then it'll actually make it better by firming up the sandy sections.

Also, don't plan on going northbound and then back south. You won't make it back up Diablo Dropoff. You'll need to continue north up Fish Creek to Split Mountain Rd. From there, you could follow the train tracks to the Trestle and continue back south to Plaster City.

So I’m order to get to the slot canyon part, you have to drive down Diablo Drop off? I basically just want to get to the slot canyon part and I’m good lol

Yes, unless you come in from the north via Fish Creek Wash and backtrack to exit the same way.

For Fish Creek trail, do you enter by the gypsum quarry?

its just a dirty trail to both the wind caves and the sand stone canyon. You can get your stock truck to about the gate keeper portion which minimal work really. You'll know when you get there.
