Somewhere up in Tahoe National...we typically hit up somewhere between Bowman to Faucherie lake because they are close by and fairly uninhabited by the masses at this time.

 

So, we were heading home, driving on a frontage road, when a vehicle pulled out of a parkinglot in front of us with no lights on. Well, they had their daytime driving lights on, but nothing in the back.
@OneGiraffe wanted me to "flash" them, but it's cold out, and I am not a fan of shrinkage, so I opted to toggle my lights on/off while behind them. We drove probably half a mile like this, and they weren't getting the hint. As we both turned onto the freeway entrance, I toggled my lights even more, but still nothing. As we get onto the freeway, I see a Sheriff's SUV in the left lane, and @OneGiraffe joked about them ferrying pulled over. As we watch the Sheriff change lanes to the center lane, she starts yelling in excitement, smacking my leg. In a few seconds, the sheriff gets in the right lane in front of us, and at this point we know what's about to happen... Yup, red and blue Christmas tree, and the idiot gets pulled over at the next exit. I can only hope the cop saw the strobe headlight effect I gave them, and that led to the traffic stop.
Next time, part attention to your rearview mirror!
