looking at Napa Prolink for what you listed It says fuel filter not serviceable !!

I can guess in that application the pump and filter are one unit.

Just why do you think you need a filter??

Not seeing any of these in person just a guess.

I believe it's a sock type in the tank. I recall reading some say you need to replace the entire pump and some say it's serviceable.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. Not serviceable!
To answer your question, I have started to encounter some prolonged starter cranking when cold. I have just gone over 103k on the miles, so I put in fresh plugs and cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor.

Thanks for the help guys. It makes no sense that we can't replace the fuel filter. Even more reason for me to upgrade to a V6. I need the extra towing power anyway.

I am sure if you pull the pump it could be cleaned !!

If I went to all that trouble I would be putting in a new pump

I am sure some High paid Engineer thought this was a great idea .

I had a prolonged crank problem on my v6. I shotgunned parts at it. Fuel pump, injectors, crank pos sen, cam pos sensor, bunch of other shit. New mass airflow sensor fixed it.
