It’s what the future was supposed to look like. Then we got all these halting half steps and bullshit car designs because people got lazy and consumers bought it all anyway. Now we’re going back...to the future! Seriously, I love my truck, but it’s not that different from my late ‘90s Ford. It’s not a flying truck, but it’s a start.

I love how Tesla thinks outside the box. The Big 3 are very conservative and basically pop on a newly styled body every 4 to 6 years. Yawn...

 

Does it come with a shot of steam?

 

The most amazing part about Tesla to me? The vehicles sell with ZERO TV/radio advertising or old school dealerships. How many Big 3 truck commercials do you watch during a normal NFL football game?

My take on truck designs, starting in the 1990s manufacturers got on a "retro look" design kick that lost the opportunity for mileage gains that could have come from improved aerodynamics.

DESIGNER THOUGHTS: "Let's see how much we can make our products all look like a 1961 Studebaker."




If that's not enough, let's go for a 1958 Mercedes Benz pickup look.

They’ll sell a ton of the fully loaded ones down here in S FL as well as commiefornia. Places where people have more $$ than brains and buy just to have the latest “it” thing.

That being said... his truck will look different when released and is driving innovation in the industry. If Tesla wasn’t around, how much less R&D would all other companies be doing on electric cars?

And what other car company can launch a rocket as well (and land it)?

 

The final production version will see numerous styling changes. I predict it will be more attractive than the concept that was revealed on Thursday.

The future vehicle will be one giant smartphone with wheels on it.

And gps navigation will be included at no extra cost.

Tesla is almost there, others better catch up.

 

I read somewhere that you had to wrap it if you wanted it in a different color. BTW - my neighbor has the Tesla 3 and an F150. Told me yesterday he's thinking of putting a deposit down for this.
