Tacoma Premium entune gps destination to wrong location

Has anyone else experience Tacoma gps taking to a wrong side of the final destination.
It happened to me 3 times in a recently purchased Tacoma 2020. Today, the GPS showed the destination on the middle of highway (destination was IKEA Pittsburg). Additionally, it took me through backroads instead of highway . I haven't disabled highway, or toll road option. Anybody else experiencing this kind of issue.

 

Yeah the Navigation sucks, last time I tried it was sending me thru narrow back alleys and never got me to where I needed to go.

 

Waze is your friend

 

A couple of times, my Entune Nav showed I was about 5 miles from my actual location and traveling in the wrong direction. Been 2 years and the problem has never reoccurred. Never took it in because we all know what the dealer would say.

 

What did you get at Ikea

 

Entune, in all forms, has been and continues to be utter shit.

 

Yeah, Entune nav in my 4R has told me to turn onto roads where there is not and never has been a road. On one trip Entune route was over a hour out of the way vs the google route.

 

Strange, i never had issues like that with my gps. Works pretty good for me.

 

Toyota says it is a feature and totally normal.


Waze is much better and free

 

The first time i tried it was going to myrtle beach. It was perfect, until we got towards Columbia SC, it wanted me to go down town Columbia at 5pm.... The hell?

Swapped to Google and went the right way, it was 1.5 hours less time on Google

Used it once and never again.

 

New navigation

 

Used Waze the other day. Waze told me to turn left into my destination. I instead turned right into the destination.
The accuracy of the database matters. Garbage in, garbage out.

 

Ok, does anyone want to go back to the wife for turn by turn directions? didn't think so.

 

entune map was a lifesaver at LAX dam Verizon didn't work for shit in there I'm trying to update my maps does anyone know what the newest version?

 

Doesn't the 2020 have apple carplay or android auto?? I hate the navigation on the entune system.

 

it does has Android auto. I was trying the embedded gps. Because of above mentioned issue, I decided to switch back to Google maps on Android auto. I think $50 Garmin would do a better job than the GPS in $40k truck.
