    I used a .243 for years. Upgraded to a 30-06 because....well I can take down any North American land mammal :laugh: Remington 750 woodmaster :thumbsup:

    My buck today dropped immediately. He shimmied about 5 or 6 yards...but he was expired almost immediately.

    Full disclosure I may have missed my point blank no scope... There is no exit hole anywhere on this deer so...

    Back in the stand hoping the big guy walks out. He’s the only one I’ll pull the trigger on for now. Once it gets close to end Of the season i May take another. But for now, I’m waiting on the one...

    Went elk hunting yesterday.. Covered 4 miles in some pretty rough country. Found tons of scat and bedding area, but I think I was hunting the wrong side of the butte. Found some mule deer, 3 does and 1 small fork buck. Still have a whitetail doe tag that I'm saving for the last day of the season. That pretty much wraps up my Season though.
