Might be able to get away with a couple of washers, but still sucks considering you paid full price for the product.

I emailed them. It's definitely not going to work because the #1 bar will not fit in the #2 location. Washers/spacer wouldn't work because it needs to be smaller, not larger. We will see how they follow through.

I had good luck corresponding with them. Their messages take a little deciphering as they go through the translator but not bad

@Casper66 Did you mount the rack on the top 2 holes on the bracket or the bottom 2? I purchased this rack and mounted it to the top 2 holes because I do not believe there was enough room to go with the lower ones. Also, are you getting any wind noise?

I used the top 2 holes. I do have a little wind noise but I have no idea if it’s from the rack or snorkel which were installed the same weekend. It’s not bad noise either way. I did follow the recommendations on here and installed the bulb seal along the bottom edge of the fairing

@Casper66 Okay thanks! I ordered the bulb seal for it and will install it once it comes in. Hopefully that helps. I really like the look of the rack. With some of the recent modifications to their original product, I think it's worth the price.

I will admit I was a little skeptical about the strength and quality but on the testimony to those issues on here i took the leap. I am very pleased with what i recieved. Now, when time allows, I need to start investigating options for mounting stuff to it.

I know I'm not the one you asked, but mine is pretty loud, I think I used the top bolts in the front, and the bottom bolts in the rear, but I was in a hurry and it was getting dark. The front panel sits about 1/2 inch off of the roof. I'm going to try to do some adjusting to it this weekend.

Update:. I know everyone says the weather strip helps with the noise, but my roof rack was obnoxiously loud, and I put a piece of tape (temporary) over the weird cutouts on the front panel, and the noise almost completely went away. Just sayin'

Mine isn't bad but I have thought about either cutting out the cut outs or using the faring as a template to make a solid one

I do get some wind noise but IDk how bad it is. I installed the rack and snorkel at the same time basically so I couldn't tell you if the noise is from one or the other. I also don't hear as well as I used to so I guess that helps. I just turn the music up a little and forget about it. if it becomes an issue I will try making a solid faring. Honestly I don't understand why they bothered with the cut outs any way

I'm not unhappy with it, for the money. There's definitely some weird things about it. For one, my Hooke road emblem was upside down , lol. I could hear the powder coat cracking as I tightened everything, and something about the fit is just a little off. I had to grind the washers flat on one side (the ones bolting onto the roof itself) and those cutouts were a bad move. But like I said, for the money, still a good deal.

I'll probably end up replacing the crossbars with extrusion for a little more versatility, and making a spare tire mount so i don't have to use a strap all the time.

When you say extrusion, explain. Thx

It was discussed a couple of posts back, and then linked. Which now resides in the "Products Discussed In" this thread below.

Some people may want to replace the included cross bars with something like this so they have more flexibility when mounting things up top.

Yes, exactly. To allow for the use of T-Nuts

Honestly though, once you go this far, how hard would it be to buy some aluminum plate, a metal jigsaw glade, sand paper, some L shaped brackets and SS hardware, and a can or two of Harbor Freight bedliner spray.

    :p

I'm a CNC programmer, so I'd skip the jigsaw blade, lol. But, to me the extrusion is a major return on a minor effort. I'm willing to do that. I wouldn't se much return on remaking the rest of it.
