I have a question for those with Mighty Mule, or any brand of gate openers.

It has been getting colder in the early mornings where I live. Yesterday it was 41*F at 0600, today it was 35*F. I have a Mighty Mule model 360 gate opener. Yesterday and today, the remote "clicker" hasn't worked to open the gate when I leave for workl at 0600, I have had to go back in my house and use the hard wired button. When I come home in the afternoon, the remote control works just fine.

Last week, my in-laws (who live 3 miles away) were out of town, and so I went by their house on my way into work to put their trash cans out on the street. They also have a Mighty Mule gate opener. The remote control for their gate also failed to work that morning, but when I stopped by the next afternoon to check on their place, the remote gate opener worked perfectly.

My wife and I just bought our house a few months sgo, so this is our first winter in this house, so we don't have any history with this gate opener in winter temperatures. It had never occured to ask my in-laws if they have ever had any issues with their gate opener, I will ask when they get home later this week.

Have any of you ever had a similar experience? The gate opener works just fine, but the remote controls don't seem to work when it's below a certain temperature, you have to use a hard wired control.

    Many thanks
