Looks like a good place for it. That sucker is big. I have factory cruise control and a catch can there so i'll have to move some stuff around when my time comes for ARB's.

It is, I am thinking it will end up in an ammo can in the bed eventually.

I know someone here mounted theirs in the ext cab cubby but that sounds annoying to me

Still poking along; I have been sick for the last week and then some. Today was slow going.

I removed the rear axle and measured where I need to set the perches on the new axle. The perches and shock mounts on the Diamond housing aren't going to work for my setup so tomorrow they're getting cut off. I have new ones to weld on in their place. I also ran the elocker harness along the frame and through the shifter hole.

Sorry you've been sick, but it's good to know who I can blame for my sickiness....it took all my energy just to write this one harassing post.

So I spent all afternoon prepping the housing for the new perches and shock tabs but didn't get them welded on. Between that I put in the driver side motor mount I had to remove to get the front diff in. I also got the spare tire mount in. I left some room in case I decide to go to 37s :D

Yesterday my friend Aaron welded on the new perches from Barnes 4WD while I was at work. When I came by I fit up the axle and things started looking like a truck again. I need to check whether the driveshaft has enough slip to move the axle back 1" to gain a little more wheelbase

I pulled the factory parking brake cable and arm off of the frame and replaced the arm with the new one for the t case parking brake.

I also bolted in the rear axle with these awesome plates that Aaron made IMG_20191120_171211.jpg IMG_20191120_193642.jpg

I'd offer to help but my brother is in town already so we're hanging in the evenings.

Not sure what your plans are, but we will be getting into Moab hopefully by noon next Friday coming from SLC. I'll probably take it easy with him on my Potash Rd -> Schaefer Tr -> Pucker Pass loop Friday. Not sure if we are camping or getting a room yet. Saturday I'm open to doing something a little more exciting, but I can't be too stupid because I need to get him back to Denver for a flight out super late saturday / early Sunday.

I will be there mid day Wednesday through either Saturday or Sunday. My hotel is through Sunday but I might have to leave on Saturday depending on external factors. Might be down for something easy Friday, currently haven't put much thought into trails

He's a true craftsman. No way you could afford to hire him to do that work - he has to want to do it.

I could not afford to hire him period. He has earned every dollar he is able to charge.

The other night I pulled the botched driveshaft carrier bearing and replaced it. The old one was definitely cooked.

    IMG_20191121_202330.jpg

Today Aaron pitched in and finished installing the transfer case parking brake hardware. I spent about an hour after that adjusting it so it should work. @Sub-Zero came by and ran the air line for the front locker, wired up the e locker harness at both ends, and installed the rear diff breather

At same time I installed the ARB manifold with the solenoid to the firewall and connected the hose to the compressor.

    IMG_20191123_201933.jpg

I also replaced the wheel bearings on the passenger side of the rear axle, the existing ones were wrecked. The rear axle is all assembled and will be complete after welding on shock tabs and being filled with oil.

Yesterday we wrapped up a bunch of loose ends. Hooked up the rear brake lines and bled them thoroughly. Filled the rear diff and transfer case, installed the skid plates, took the truck out to flex it and see where the rear shock mounts needed to go before Aaron welded them on. Had to pull apart the e locker motor and re index it because it wasn't functioning properly. I need to wire the switch for the ARB locker as well. It's hooked up but the solenoid only works when the compressor is off.

For reference the rear tire is 22.5" off the ground and the front is 16"
