I have an 08 Tacoma the issue I'm having is that their is no air coming out of my vents. All the fan speed setting work you can hear the fan blower working and you can feel heat and AC trying to get out of the vents but nothing is blowing out. The cabin air filter is clean and no fuse are popped and on occasion it will start working again but eventually will stop working anyone have any ideas

You say the fan speeds work? So the fan is turning? I don't get it.
I have an '08, the high setting works, but lower speeds don't always work. Last time (3weeks+) that it didn't work, I crawled under the dash, tapped lightly on the fan motor, and all speeds been working since. Something's loose, but for now it's good to go.

If no air is coming out any of the vents regardless of where the selector is set (check all of them: floor, dash, defroster at each position of the switch selector) then I would guess there's something blocking the air inside the vent system like tree leaves or dead critters.

If you find one combination of the position of the switch selector and one vent that works I would guess the doors inside the vent system are not moving when the switch is moved. The doors are moved by an air mix servo motor that uses electricity to move the doors. I do not know if that servo has it's own fuse. If the servo isn't moving it could be the servo itself or the switch that changes the airflow from the different vent system outlets.

The problem with yours is very common. The heater has a resistor block that has poor connections between the block and the plug for it. Amazon has a kit that comes with a new updated resistor block and a new plug for $22. The resistor block is about 6" to the left of the vent blower and its plug points straight down.

All of the vents are the same at all the setting almost no air coming from the also sometimes the fan itself disent work but if I take out the filter and give the fan a nudge it will start to spin

I would remove the blower motor and look for debris first. Look at the condition of the fans blades as well. When you give the fan a nudge if it moves easily I would suspect the blower motor is going out, if it doesn't move easily when you nudge it then I would look for debris.

You barely have to touch it and it starts to spin

The ' bump to get it going' deal is an indicator the blower motor is getting ready to shit the bed. Unless you find an external reason (blockage/connection) for it not to spin freely.

edit- You may have two issues. You said you can hear the blower running in all positions, but nothing comes out the vents. With no found physical blockage, an actuator would be my guess. There can be more than one, depending on it's function.

Yep, it sounds like one of the actuators on the side of the blower box has crapped out. There are a few threads on here on how to replace them.

The blower motor is going out. Fix one problem at a time. Since we now know the blower motor is going out fix it first and then if the problem of air not coming out the vents persists move on to that problem next. I personally prefer videos over threads and there are videos on YouTube pertaining to the servo replacements and the motor replacement.

I think the OP is saying that with the motor out and disconnected, it spins freely with just a touch of his hand. In other words, it's not binding. Maybe I'm reading that wrong.
