    TRD headers have a slightly different design and may be fine on the pass side. Driver side, the headers have lots of room. On the drivers side, the big alt will likely hit the TC gussets

    What is so special about that one? Is it the 105 amp rating? Would certainly be better that going back to stock.

    I didn't see any info on its dimensions.

    Thats not engine revs. Its alternator revs. Not super sure how fast it spins at idle. But should be close to 2100ish I think if i remember right.

    Im sure you could do the math and figure it out but I don't have time to haha

    This does showcase the down side to "High output" Alternators though that are just rewound oem stock ones. No gains really at idle or low rpms.

    But to put it in perspective I think the CS140 puts out 100amps at 2100 rpm.

    I'm gonna see if a smaller belt will work first to keep the GM housing off of the gusset.

    the cs144 came with two pulley sizes. 52mm and....50??mm? i think. Something like that. The smaller one spins it faster so it has a higher output at idle. This is why you see some people say they need the same belt as the PS pump vs the stock alt belt. The people with the smaller pulley use the stock alt belt. I believe the difference was the windshield heater that could be added on to the GM cars that ran the alt, they got the smaller pulley for higher idle output to power the heaters.

    Oh, I see. I though you were referring to a solution to the big housing hitting the TC gusset. A smaller pulley wont help with that. If anything, a larger pulley might help as it would pull the alt away from the gusset.

    FWIW, I have already tried both belts. The PS belt is not small enough.

    There is a coolant hose between the engine block and the alt. Do you think I can get away with pinching it down some? It might restrict the flow a bit.

    I am wondering where that coolant is going. Is it to the heater core?

    Yeah not ideal. It's an odd cooler and if you did an oil filter relocation you could add your own cooler if you're that worried about it and disable the stock one probably.

    Could always get a length of hose the same size and just reroute it out of your way.

    looks like orange coolant was used I only have pink...be bad to drain the radiator and put in the pink??
