I told the story a good while ago of the game the neighbor kid and I invented.
I was maybe 7?
When a sow's time came, she'd get put in the farrowing shed.
She had a small inside pen with a door to a small outside pen.

We'd jump over the fence inside and swat the piglets with brooms.
Wee wee wee!

You didn't have long before you heard mama grunting and on the way in.
With murderous intent.
Back over the fence we'd go. Hahaha!
We got caught and it was the worst paddling I ever got.
"That sow will kill you...and eat you."
Dad was angry and serious. I mean serious.

Hell, I found out later a sow will sometimes kill and eat one of her own piglets.
I know some people treat them as pets, but they're totally untrustworthy.
When they get any size to them, they're dangerous.
If my Dad ever had to get in a pen with one to herd it somewhere, he had a pitchfork in hand and meant business.

Dunno about wild hogs, but I'm betting what I've said goes double for them.
As you can imagine, I have no sympathy with hogs, domestic or feral.

We don't have a wild hog problem here, but if we did...
I'd be out there killing them with no remorse.
The only other critters I can say that about are groundhogs.

Yea well I found a boiler 5” vent missing vent in a sealed attic space for past 5 years or so.

2” gas leak

Tub running on hot water for no telling how long since door was kept closed so all the walls are black
