2010 tacoma with 130k miles. Just started today. Crank truck up and turn ac on high. It runs for a minute then completely quits blowing then it comes back on. Blower motor maybe? What’s your thoughts.

If it fails to work on high, the problem is not the resistor.

Unplug the blower motor connector and see if it is cooked. If that looks good, then the next most likely problem is a cooked connector at the switch. If there's no visible signs of heat damage, you're gonna need to get out the multimeter and start checking for voltage.

Got ya. Yeah I bumped the bottom of the motor this morning and it came on. I’ve had no issues with other speeds when it’s running. Seems like it only has a problem when u start it up.

I'm having sort of the same issue. Sometimes it works then shuts down and only works on highest setting.

If it only works on high, the problem is the resistor connector and the resistor.

Just helped my buddy with his. His didn't even work on the highest setting but after redoing both resistor connector and the resistor ($35 I think) its back in working order. Its worth a try before you go into replacing the whole blower :notsure:

Ok I replaced the connector and wires. Worked fine until a few days ago now it’s doing the same thing. If you wiggle wires at connector it will kick on. Sometimes it stays on sometimes it don’t. Thoughts?

Disconnect the blower motor connector and put a multimeter or a test light on the connector.
Go through the blower speeds on your dash. If you get a reading or test light is on, then it (blower motor resistor) is working correctly. If not then it is your blower motor resistor that is bad.

Also ensure that the connector contacts are clean and tight. Just because it clicks in place without any issue doesn't mean its making a proper connection.

I would venture to say in this situation it sounds like your motor or connection.
