as far as MPG. i see anything from 17mpg around here to 21 mpg around here- around here is going to the local pizza shop 4 miles each way. That is all two lane backroads 45-55mph. On a trip on the highway, i have seen 22mpg maybe even 23. Which i think is great. that's 65-70mph for a couple hours. I saw near 25 or maybe even 25 one time driving like grandma 50mph for 100 miles before i knew what the ect button offers. No lie. But like i said, i was milking it for mpgs just to see.... All flat highway and very little stopping.

Sorry to hear you feel that way about your truck. I have had my Sport for a little over 2 years. I still look forward to driving it every day and make excuses to drive it every chance I get. The suspension is pretty decent for it's intended purpose. The old 3/4 Chevy PU I had years ago had suspension so stiff it changed lanes going over paint lines. I once flipped an engine over in the bed going over a speed bump! And it was even tied down. Damn it was like riding on a block suspension. I think Toyota did a fine job with these trucks. There is lots of power, it shifts smooth and effortlessly. It gets decent mileage. Hope you find what makes you happy. I know I have!

It's Tacoma 'normal', and yes, it's caused by a gear mesh vibration in the rear diff transferring through the leafs, driveshaft, frame, and body mounts. Nothing to worry about, just annoying.

how about the faint seat vibration when hitting the brakes? I mean i have 4k miles. They are drum brakes. I am thinking something in the driveline but no big deal??

If you're talking about the 25-20 mph(ish) driveline vibration then also Tacoma 'normal'.

Adding a bed mat reduced it by about 80% on my truck.
