What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Has anyone tried tinting the lenses after replacing the OEM bulbs with LEDs?

Unrelated but I used some tinted lexan on two outdoor lamps. They were square and one face faced the driveway entrance, with a bright bulb that was annoying, but I liked the other side’s bright, so I replaced that one side with a 35% tint and problem solved. I’m sure some film will work if you don’t go the resistor route.

 

Dumping the exhaust under the box instead of out the side might not be the safest thing to do.

Yes, you opened the box, thus a mod over factory.

 

Can you buy just the black tip from this, or do you need to buy the whole exhaust? This exhaust came on my taco but with the chrome tip. Since it's TRD I obviously can't get the other OEM black tip for a replacement.

Tell me where I spend my money on these.

Interior LEDs from Fleabay. Sweet as it’s my first legit mod and sour as I had a couple incidents. Broke an overhead console console pull tab and installed the 31mm festoon instead of 28mm, bending the metal connector to get it to fit in the dome then changing my mind afterwards and ordering the 28mm.

Patience is a virtue which I don’t seem to possess in the short term. From now on measure twice cut once.. License plate LEDs went in no problem.

 

I just ordered a black exhaust tip today (link below, has part# if you wanna get it elsewhere). Note though that these do not have TRD inscribed on them, THAT is exclusive to the welded on black tip that comes with the whole entire TRD exhaust system.

I got the Christmas lights going.

35 ft PVC Driveway Arch made with 1” PVC in seven 5’ sections. Each section has 50 lights (350 total) and three 16” Led spheres

Damn rain stopped the progress. All the neighbors have a official lighting ceremony this Friday. Need to tighten it up, add some other things and add my sound system!

Actually I have gotten use to it. That is another thing that should be standard on Toyotas. A dimmer switch. My 2006 Silverado had this and used it frequently.

 

is that vinyl or a legit black handle swap? if its an actual black handle, where did you purchase?? would be very interested

They are actual black door handles, no vinyl. You can purchase them from Toyota directly (SR5 version) OR I found these on Amazon at a cheaper price - I can't tell the difference honestly:
