I’ll run my OEM tires until they wear down , but for sure want a better replacement. I’m also happy with 265/70/16 and I’ll stick to that size.

for the conditions you list, specifically the mud or wet forest conditions I would recommend the hybrid A/T tires listed either the ST MAXX or the the Ridge Grapplers. I have experince with the ST Maxx and Grabber AT2 and would go with the ST Maxx for the conditions you listed. The KM3 probably is a great option, I just have no experience with them so I wont voice an opinion on them.

I think the Grabbers are junk based on ~50k of use I’ve seen.

    Yokohama’s drive great on Yotas.
I’ve run them very hard through the desert in mixed terrain with even lava rock. My 17” wheels will get the MT’s next in 255/70/17
And the 16” wheels will get the AT’s in 265/75/17.

The Japanese know how to make great tires...kinda like how they make a great pickup (or SUV)

Yeah, tire technology is coming a long long way. I like many of the hybrid tires for sure.

I’ve had issues with the stock AT’s. If I drop into a rut when it’s wet, they refuse to dig in and pull the front out with the wheels turned. That and holy crap they hold mud that never clears out. Tires in pic from AOP when the ground is soaked.

I like coopers, they are made in the usa. They seem to hold up well to. I think bfgs are also usa made and last a while but never had any. I had the old style cooper s/t tires and I like them.

Well that’s what MT’s are for...in the summer depending on where you live, AT’s will do the trick

The stock AT’s suck bad. I went through them fast

Not on a Tacoma obviously but these are the smoothest riding and most ridiculously quite mt tires I've ever had.

I like those. I’m starting my search for tires for my Sierra 1500. I’m leaning towards a hybrid tire. These seem like they may fit that bill.

There are lots of YouTube videos on them Lite Brite (Jeep) I think has several. Took the plunge and so far don’t regret em. Inexpensive also I was under $1,200 installed through Discount Tire not bad for a 37” tire. I’ve had about all the popular mud tires over the years and since I had good luck with my last set a cheaper brand (Thunderer MT would recommend them but they did ride a bit rough even when new) I figured I’d try it again :D

Had the OEM A2's off @ 200 miles and have been enjoying the Nitto Grapplers since. Good wear so far, only a little louder than stock (almost unnoticeable on some surfaces) and doing a good job on both the maintained and unmaintained fire roads of East Tennessee. Obviously not great in the mud, but I do my best to stay out of the stuff.

I HATE my ”Fulkin” Wildpeaks. There... I said it. I feel a little better, except that they are still on my truck. They are the only modification I have made to my truck that I regret.

KM3’s aren’t bad, but I feel our trucks are too light and the tires are too heavy. It’s not a good combo and sometimes I regret it, but it sure is aggressive and what I wanted. In hindsight, I should have just got all terrains and sema wheels

ST Maxx’s are great until they start wearing down. Then they get loud as fuck.

I have 55k on mine and at 6/32 tread. Replacing them with 35” Milestar Patagonia’s soon.
