    Here is the install video. When buying from me I test and program the cell to the fortin and create the profile for the user. So all you would need to do is the first step of programming the keyfob.

    Question. I have thieves in the area beautiful California!) that I think are using codehopping (IDK the tech name) to get in my Tacoma. Is there a way to stop this, alarm system? Change code signal? Thanks for any help.

    I am not aware of a way to stop thieves from getting your factory unlock signal as that would be a factory toyota thing they are intercepting. An alarm would definitely help as it would go off if your door is open or bumped. I know some of the higher end alarms can send you notifications if you are away from your vehicle. Sorry not much help on this. I will check around with a few of my buddies and see if they know anything.

    With the remote start unit and digital dual climate control, does the truck have to be preset to heat or air? Reason I ask is I have a Nissan Altima also that came factory with remote start and I never have to set it. It turns on heat if temp is below a certain temp outside. Everytime I turn off the vehicle if it’s set to let’s say 78 degrees and fan on low, when I remote start the car it sets everything to high and defrost. I never use the remote start in the summer though to see if it automatically turns on the ac or not.

    Anyway just curious if I need to make a habit of remembering the setting before use. Thanks.

    It’s the same as if you got in and started your truck. What ever you left it at prior to turning off is what it will be when remote started. It’s a toyota thing.
