Just got done changing my oil. When I got under the truck I noticed a wire hanging down beside the transmission. 6spd man. Truck has been running great and no dash lights beside the tpms and maint reqd.

This is only my 2nd oil change since I’ve had the truck and I didn’t notice it the 1st oil change. The wire comes out of a harness on the other side of the tranny. I looked as best I could and didn’t see anywhere that looked like this had come out of it. Any ideas?

Could be the diff breather too...both are attached to the left fender well under the hood about mid-motor

Oops, meant to say transmission breather. .

Thanks for the reply’s! I guess that would explain the noise it makes when I shake it. I got back under there and got it tucked out of the way.

The two little silver bullets top right of the underhood fuse box is the stock mounting position for the front diff and trans breathers.

Thanks for the pic. I’ll have to tackle that tomorrow if I get a chance.

So I took a look under my hood this morning before I crawled under the truck. Seems that I already have two breathers in place. Any ideas of where the one by the transmission is supposed to be routed too?273C8E27-0353-4B42-A8DD-F1BA9D9DD2F3.jpg

Should be routed somewhere along the top of the trans i believe.. shouldnt matter too much, just route it to the highest point you can with the hose and use some zip ties to attach it

heres a pic of my RA60F out of my 2013 6spd 4wd. I think the part circled in red is my trans breather.. but it appears to be Hard mounted on the trans, so that may not be right.. it sure looks like it to me though. Been a year or so since i dropped my 6spd so im a little rusty
