    I'm bored, so I thought I'd ask. What's the point of the blue led that flashes onto the dash when the truck is off? This is certainly not unique to Toyota. Mine has no security system by the way and most I've seen with it don't either.
    Just curious is all.

    Fake alarm system. Unless the thief can see valuables on the seat, they will move on to a vehicle without a blue flashing LED.

    Sort of what I thought...but these things have been around for a long time, so I would think that trick would be dead by now.
