Only the betas that had octane learning in them (designated by having OLE in the file name) did Mat put up in instructions to do a few 2nd or 3rd gear pulls to about 5000-5500 RPMs and he also said they weren't necessary as they merely helped speed up the process of learning the knock correct learn values, KCS trims, ignition timings things like that based on the octane of fuel used.

So with the current beta files that are on the beta page just do what you normally would do after a fresh flash.

I think that was only recommended if you reset learned values.

Okay, posting, while I search, and scan...
    Tactrix came in today.
    Software is all set.
I cannot connect to the truck, via download mrg, the datalogger, or TIS.
I am sure I am missing something, unless I have a hardware issue. But tried all the USB ports on the laptop(and I know they work). I have lights on the interface....

    Thanks,

Need to use a USB2 port and make sure you installed the Tactrix driver. Beyond that make sure your in ignission on mode (2x push on start button without stepping on the break)

Missed the openport drivers. Downloaded, and connected.
    Now, I need to re-read.

    Thanks

Flashed back to OLE after a few hundred on 19800. OLE drives better imo and my Taco is back up to 21mpg 87 octane. No silly surge like 19800 rolling off the line.
