I was coming out sat. Could Sunday too.

 

Im curious, how do you see at night? I have 20% on my back windows and there are certain times when its getting dark, but people dont have their lights on so I can barely see squat

 

Old truck. But it was 5% over factory on the sides 35 on the windshield. Saw fine at night. Led fogs and headlights helped a lot. Truck wasn’t a daily either.

 

I think 20% on back windows is too dark. It's already close 20% . I just did a 50% to block UV on back since there is none and 20% up front.

 

Tint

 

If a big bear stops you he will most likely use a tint meter before he gives you a ticket. If a little bear stops you and just says you have a tint and gives you a ticket, look at the ticket.
If he writes down he used a meter, you maybe SOL, but if he didn’t you may win in court by simply pointing out there was not meter used, therefore there’s not factual proof, and you should be innocent via a reasonable doubt.

 

Where I'm from ( I know its different other places), a first offence tint ticket is a fix it ticket. Just show the violation was corrected and the ticket is dropped. Being OP also got speeding, they may treat it different.

That all depends on your state how dark you can go on back glass.
Every state is different. Fine can be STEEEP. If a cop wants to be a dick, he CAN tell you peel it off right there.
And the fine is PER WINDOW.

 

Yea. I understand totally.
Even in front, don't leave anything they can grab and run. Even sunglasses. If I need to leave something in , I carry a large black towel to cover.

 

Good thing about Texas is that you can put whatever on the passenger and rear windows.

 

Yeah thats one of the reasons you wouldnt want ppl looking in.

 

Did they use a meter? That's the only legal way for them to ticket you for it.

 

Cop was probably eyeing the same truck you bought so he got salty.
