Went on a little trip up to Stevens Pass, drove a bit up Upper Mill Creek Rd (FS Rd 6960). Nice and chilly day, not quite enough snow to sled but had fun getting up to the mountains.

 

I was using an old Scosche vent mount cell phone holder in the middle vent, but I didn't really like the location. A little too high up and awkward to put in the cradle, plus come spring/summer I'm going to need the airflow from that vent since I live in AZ. I had a sheet of 1/4" ABS laying around from a project a while back, so I decided to play around with it. A heat gun, a vice, a hammer, and the disassembled Scosche cradle and I'm in business. I still need to clean the adhesive residue from some duct tape off the bracket I made, and clean up and polish the edges, but I'm pretty happy with it. Location is great, doesn't get in the way of anything, the Apple Face ID works easily, and I have my vent back. For now it's held in place with the 3m red-backed double sided tape, and I've had good success with that stuff even in the summers here. If it ends up not holding come summer time I'll add a backing plate and a couple of black countersunk black screws. Road tested it and it's super solid, no shakes, rattles, or vibrations.

I managed to stall my AT yesterday. Only happened once, 1st time its ever happened.

Can this be a symptom of a bigger problem? Or if it just happened once, its a fluke? I opened Torque and checked for codes right away, no codes showed up.

I was using it pretty good when it happened

@theolee not sure if it was mine that you saw but yes upol Raptor is really really good stuff. I have used it for my projects than my own truck. You can go thicker or thinner with with the application, it lasts basically forever, and looks great as well. With those spots you feel you'd have to fix, I would take some good sandpaper and sand them down to blend...the raptor will take care of the rest.

Well yesterday.

Activated the 4x4 for some exercise lo and high.

Greased drive shafts just because.

Other fluids were changed a week or two back.

Now that I'm ready for the snow , it won't show up.

be aware that any yotas use British Pipe Thread pipe, NOT NPT like we do in the us.. , at least on 2nd Gens, cant speak for the 3rds but wud not expect them to be different...on the 4.0 L I added a tee under the lo press switch as a feed for my gage...

 

Diff breather relocation to left brake light housing. Super easy.

 

Went to install my @CaliRaisedLed antenna mount and found that it won't work with my cap.
