I have a 2012 Tacoma regular cab. I have been trying to find a way to replace the crank to a power switch but there is no place on my door. I have also already bought drive side and passenger side window with motors. Do I need to make any other purchases?

IDK for sure, but I'd guess door panels, switches, and sections of wiring harness, along with circuit breakers and relays.

Have you confirmed your truck is prewired to accept power windows? If not, it will be fairly challenging.

It’s not pre wired. I bought this regulator https://www.1aauto.com/2005-14-toyo...-trq/i/1awrg01469?f=529816&y=2012#reviews_tab
Since there is no place on my door, me and my dad plan on wiring to a custom switch on the center console. Would it really need circuit breakers and relays?

Just curious, why all the work for two windows. No cost for motors, switches, relays down the road, crank windows are awesome.

Next you need to pick your switches out. You either can choose high current (10 amp minimum) switches with 6 contacts in a momentary/off/momentary function or you can choose any 3 contact switch (mom/off/mom) and use 2 relays per window motor. Your window motors use much less than 10 amps each if all of the window seals are in decent shape. The looser the seals are the more the windows will rock back and forth in their channels and that will cause binding which will increase the motors current draw. The motors will never exceed 10 amps each even if the channels are trashed. Below are the 2 diagrams for each type of switch, duplicate the same diagram for each window.

K-Four Switches has a lot to choose from. www.k-four.net
Or just go to a wrecking yard.

If the regulators are used its a good time for you to clean the gears up and put white lithium grease on the gears really well also.

By the way, your factory style window regulators and motors are far better than Spal's.

In a Toyota that's extremely easy to break into you could either have the +12v always hot, or not. It's a lot more convenient to have them work whenever you want them to work. A thief would never check to see if the windows can roll down without the ignition on anyway.
