Thank you for that I have read it. But it doesn't flow with what I have seen on the lots here in NC. The OR have been under 1000 according to the door sticker. I have not seen a Limited yet hence the reason for the post. I appreciate your effort though.

Yes, door stickers say otherwise. I just bought a 2019 OR access cab. Although Toyota online says 1295, the door sticker says 1150. I noticed that a similar OR double cab was (I think) 1040. The Limiteds having more options, yes probably all under 1000. Side story, I originally was looking at truck bed campers (Alaskan or Four Wheel Camper) which as I noted, would mean a full size truck! The guys that build Alaskan suggested to me when test driving trucks to go by a scale and have the truck weighed to verify the sticker as they were all about being under payload. But, I just didn't want to drive a full-size and have always wanted a Tacoma, so I won't be buying an Alaskan or Four Wheel Camper...

The only way to know what your payload is for sure is to weigh the truck. Toyota even says this on their site. Your door sticker will be different (less) than what Toyota advertises, but weighing I would bet will give you a different number than the door sticker.

They add that yellow sticker that tells how much to deduct from the original sticker, it subtracts for additional equipment added after it was manufactured.

Max payload is max payload. Whatever added fluff Toyota gave you has a weight to it, so all
of that is deducted from max payload.

Every truck can be different, weigh your truck or use the sticker.

Tacoma payload sucks anyway, but it’s a midsize truck, not a working truck. If anybody bought one for payload then they’re the best consumer a manufacturer could ask for.
