    Welcome to TW!

What sort of things do you like to do with your truck?

Personally I think the best mod for your truck is a daily driver.

It all comes down to your planned use!

Myself I would make sure the maintenance is all up to speed some areas always neglected

Have you baselined all maintenance items so it's in a 'needs nothing' mode? Most used vehicles don't come that way.

For example, if you have no records for fluid changes, do them all. Etc etc. Most full baselining projects will run a few hundred bucks. If tires/brakes/suspension are needed, $2-3k, depending on your product choices.

Mods either start after that's done or as part of that process (ie there can be things to upgrade while performing PM)

1st buy a train horn, mount it at your rear bumper. Put the switch under your brake pedal. Now you have an be audible warning to the people behind you that you're stopping.

Then you want to mount an aircraft strobe light to the roof. That will keep small aircraft from accidentally landing on you at night.

Duct tape old mattresses to either side of the truck, you'll get fewer small dents in parking lots.

Lastly get about 200 bicycle horns with the squeeze bulbs. Mount them to your tires so you're always driving over the bulbs, because that would be hilarious.

There is a sticky at the top of the first gen thread of diy mods. Mostly little stuff and I definitely recommend the grey wire mod if you have a elocker.

As others said, make sure the truck is up to snuff on its maintenance FIRST. Doesn't do you any good if you got some sweet mods but now you can't drive it because your ball joints failed and it doesn't run because you didn't clean the MAF and you've got a bad up stream cat sensor.

Then drive it around for a while. See what YOU need/want. What are your plans for it? Where will you drive it? Is this a daily driver or an off-road play truck? Or are you just trying to impress your fraternity brothers or go viral on instagram?

Don't just copy other people. It's almost guaranteed they don't use the truck just like you do, so you'll just be spending money to solve a problem you don't have.

If you have a particular problem, look to other people's builds and how they solved that particular problem. Don't just throw a snorkel and diff breathers at your truck because you saw someone else do it.
