    Hi all,
2017 SR 4x4 manual, I’ve started getting a slight metallic popping sound from under the steering column area. As with most sounds it’s hard to describe, but it sounds like metal flexing or popping. It occurs when I have the clutch pushed in and the brake pedal pushed coming to a stop. If I brake real gentle and slow....no sound.
I crawled under the dash and all the hardware seemed secure, but there are a lot of welded joints under there in the steering mechanism....my question is, has anyone else seen this? As usual I’m reluctant to go to the dealer with an issue like this.

    thanks for the help
