:infantry:time to take care of business. my son caught a road hunter shoot one on our land last year. yes,we showed up to court to testify. me and the roadhunter made some good solid eye contact at court. then he plead guilty to all charges.funny thing, never saw him crusing the road once this year. and i rode by his camp, he was out there.

nah, not huntable. Cade’s cove is an 11 mile loop in the GSMNP. Was hoping to see some rut action, but bucks were all by themselves and not interested in does at all. We usually go in January, and last Jan we saw a couple fighting and chasing. We’ll go back this coming January I’m sure.

We get all kinds of trespassers. PA's greatest tradition, I guess. Driving thru the area I hunt this morning, saw a red Dodge that belongs to a guy I caught turkey hunting in 2016. Didn't have a permit then, said he didn't need one. Was a friend of the lease caretakers dad. Bravo Sierra. We ALL need a permit. One for liability, two, to keep track of doe, buck, and turkey kills. If I ran the lease, there would be ZERO warnings. Zero. The property is posted extremely well. No way you can miss the signs. I'd prosecute and push for maximum fines.

I've always thought about going in late February/early March and looking for sheds. I'd say they get picked up pretty quick though.

Can you do that? I assumed since it was part of the national park that would be illegal

I just have this thing about road hunters. its the most dangerous thing you can do. my son was in a treestand 80yds from the deer he shot.we have good relations with neighboring hunters.if tresspassing on purpose we just ask them to move on. if they are tracking a wounded deer its all good.

Cut a little shootin lane between a thicket and some big woods... Hopefully get my daughter on a buck this weekend. Made a little blind with some of the trees I sawed down

Our son is 7 1/2, he says he wants to shoot one with his .243, he witnessed his first one being shot Saturday and did good. I'm gonna take him today and see what he does, he wants to get his first one so bad but we all know talking and one standing in front of you are two different things. At this point I don't care if it's a 30 pound button head he shoots, whatever happens will be good memories.

Went into the office next door this morning. See a Warden in one of the company owners offices with both owners in there. Apparently someone took a company truck and was doing some illegal activities with it. Warden wont give full detail on if there were any crimes committed. Has to be someone who works here though. Those trucks get locked up at the end of the week every week. Guess we will have to see what comes of it.

p.s. This was the last weekend of the season. Really puts the pressure on people to fill tags and they do stupid shit.

Got this pic of a young buck yesterday morning pulling up to the shop. Watched him chase the does for a little bit. Not the best pic from the truck my smoker was in the way.
