    Sup ladies and gents!

I randomly became a Taco owner over the weekend. Was going to inherit my father in-laws Honda Accord over the weekend but ended up getting my brother in-law's 07 Tacoma 4cyl 2wd single cab no frills base model. the bro got the accord bc it's better for his two toddlers to ride in and I don't have kids. only 140K on it and they've owned it since purchased from the dealer, but I'm thinking many things will need done to it soon. I know the front brakes need done so it's #1 priority atm. 2nd is taking care of oil leaks on/around the exhaust manifold area. Thinking valve gasket and emissions recirc oil system leaks, EGR etc. California born truck so maybe that system is specific to Cali for emissions. Seems to run well and drives and brakes straight. not too bouncy or anything and steering feels fine. No leaks from rear diff or shocks. some seepage around transmission but he said it didn't ever really leave spots on ground.

I'll get a picture or two up soon but I also plan on improving the cosmetics as it's only sat outside it's entire life and my brother said he really never tried to keep up with making it look nice.

Any recommendations of things to check out and or replace soon besides the basic fluids and plugs?

I'll check the paperwork he gave me to see if a fuel filter, pump and water pump items have been replaced.

I've never really been a truck guy but have owned one back in HS college. 94 GMC Sierra GT and then a daily 1990 Ranger for about a year before I traded it to a buddy. Then cars ever since. I've build some cars for track and Auto X. motor swaps on a couple but now have a 1998 BMW M3 I'm restoring and making into a solid HPDE/autoX'r.

Big list of previous rides - 1st car to last, many at same time.
88' Dodge daytona Pacifica turbo, 94 GMC Sierra GT 2wd, 92.5 eagle Talon, 94 Civic, 97 Cutlass, 90 Ranger 6cyl 2wd, 95 Toyota MR2 Turbo, 97 Accord JDM engine swapped, 93 Civic hatch, 95 Civic Motor Swapped K20 track car, 06' 350Z, 08 Civic Si (only new car ever purchased), 06 Honda S2000.

    Current vehicles - 98M3, 2012 Mazda 3 wife's, 07 Tacoma new daily/work truck.
