Looking for a way to get OEM CarPlay in my '18. Has anyone swapped a 2020 unit into an older model?

I believe it is not completely plug-n-play, a jumper cable is necessary.
Well, that is what our local Toyota parts guy has told us.

Eventually some flatbiller will wreck his brand new truck and the head unit will be on eBay. Then someone smart will post up a how-to thread on installing it.

IMG_0392.jpg IMG_0391.jpg NO. There is no adapter as of yet and the radio is different with several additional connections.

Top is 2019 JBL and bottom is 2020 JBL.
