What got me on this topic was this guy (see quote) doing 285/75R17's with an OME BP51 kit. He doesn't go into any detail about what was done to the truck to get them to fit though, from what I can tell. I feel like he would be rubbing if he ran over a dime though. :notsure:

Looks like a 47 point turn to get out of where he parked. Those have to be rubbing somewhere.

even at full turn in reverse? That’s usually worse case in daily driving scenarios. What about wheeling, run into any issues? One more, what’s your preload set at? 20mm?

lol no rub in any daily driving scenarios. With some extra caster added you can completely clear the body mount. preload at 7.5mm

Kit installed and went with 285/75r16's. They rub when turned and hitting an incline at speed, like a steep driveway or something. Other then that, no issues. I'll be installing a front bumper here soon and I'm going to adjust the caster and move the wheels forward a bit. Currently I'm set at 0 on the control arms which adds +2 to the caster. I have the ability to add more, but am going to do the bumper first and see how much more. If I need to, I can still do the BMC since that's where the tire is making contact.

295-- you will be fine with body chop...
--- This is just my two cent: All tires size is calculate base on max psi. You will never run these tire at max psi, so you will never get a true measurement.
    • 315/75R16 = 34.5"x 12.5" --approx.: 34
    • 295/75R16 = 33.5"x 11.5" --- approx.: 33
    • 285/75R16 = 33"x 11 -------- approx.: 32-32.5

How much taller does the OME sit vs. the Pro stock suspenssion, if you happened to measure?

    Rear is up 3.5"
Front is up 3" at 15mm preload setting

This is measured from the hub (so, no tires involved in the measurements). Plus, I guess the Pro is already 1" taller then a standard 4x4 Tacoma. I'll be adding weight to the front as soon as my bumper comes in and winch. And I'll be removing a leaf in the rear spring since I will not be going with a hard topper.
