You got the Heavy Duty with an extra leaf right? I'm planning on going with Dobinson leaf packs for sure. Everything else, suspension-wise, is still up in the air. At least I have sliders and skids to hold me over until I get my lift put on.

3-3.5 is about all you want to go. I will drop down a bit once I build the swingout, which is why I got the super HD leafs. Add all my camping crap and I’ll sit at 2.5-3”.

I have 3* axle shims and experience very little driveline vibes at takeoff.

general rule is 1* of shim at the rear axle for every 1” of lift.

CB drop if you have vibrations

do not add a diff drop

    You are welcome!

Some do it as prevention and/or because it comes in the Dakar package from headstrong. I preferred to do the shim from the start since it’s easier to put in when installing the leaf pack.

CB drops are easy to install and can be made DIY pretty easy.

Don't make any adjustment you don't need. If there is a need then fix it.
On your drive lines you are suppose to only shim to keep your pinion flanges parallel if you have a double U-joint shaft and to keep the angle at the diff straight if you have a CV shaft. If you do that and your driveshaft and U-joints are good you won't have vibrations.

In case any of you guys are interested. This will give you time to prepare if you want to take photos or video. All of this information posted below I got from Time and Date dot com.

Viewing between 6:30pm to 7:20pm or so should be good. Between 6:50 and 7:12 should be the excellent viewing window. (Central Time)
The moon will rise after this and make it harder to see them. See the last graphic in this post for that.

The oval is where they originate from

    December Meteor Shower

The Geminids are considered to be one of the most spectacular meteor showers of the year, with the possibility of sighting around 120 meteors per hour at its peak, which is on December 13 or 14, depending on your time zone.

The shower owes its name to the constellation Gemini because the meteors seem to emerge from this constellation in the sky.

    upload_2019-12-3_14-13-13.jpg

    How to See the Geminids
You don't need any special equipment or a lot of skills to view a meteor shower. Even though all you really need is a clear sky, lots of patience, and our handy Interactive Meteor Shower Sky Map with a visibility conditions meter to see a meteor shower, the following tips can help maximize your shooting star viewing experience.

    • Find a secluded viewing spot, away from the city lights. Once at the venue, your eyes may take 15 to 20 minutes to get used to the dark.
    • Dress for the weather, and make sure you are comfortable, especially if you plan to stay out long. Bring a blanket or a comfortable chair with you—meteor watching can be a waiting game.
    • Once you have found your viewing spot, lie down on the ground and look up in the direction of the radiant. Use our Interactive Meteor Shower Sky Map or the table above to find the current direction of the radiant in the sky.
The moon will be up by 7:40 and make it difficult to see them. It is still possible though

Your welcome just make sure the flanges circled in red are parallel. You use shims between the axle perches and leaf packs to change the Diff angle to get them parallel.
Get you a cheap angle finder at Harbor Freight to check your angles and use shims to correct it.

Appreciate the info. Post some pics with it unloaded while you can. Is there a single shim that does this or a set of three and did you get them from from same place as the leaf springs?

You can buy the single shims in multiple degrees of angle. Get the slotted ones to make the install much easier.
