The front right speaker on my Tacoma has stopped working. I have a 1st gen tacoma (2000). I've been using my cassette tape player as an aux input. I thought it was the cassette tape so I bought a new one but it's still not working. Anyone have any ideas on what it might be?

Step 1 - Check Bal/Fade to make sure you didn't do it wrong that one wild night with all the hookers and cocaine
Step 2 - See if it's the same on all inputs (AM/FM) to rule out the source (bad cable or jack)
Step 3 - Meter the speaker and verify the connector isn't corroded

If you get that far and haven't found/resolved the problem we'll look into other possibilities.

And as much as I hate being the bearer of bad news, it’s a 20 year old speaker (made out of paper, no less) so don’t be surprised if it’s just shot

I think the issue is a bad dongle. The speaker works on AM/FM and aux through my iPhone but not when I plug my phone into the dongle.
