Until I get rid of the tire rack in my bed I will need 2 cameras. I want a good wide angle one for the front and the rear can be a bit more basic.

Ah! I didn't realize the rear was a separate unit! Thought it was an all in one. Thanks!

    Wouldn't you like to know!
I know he recommends a top 5 in his youtube reviews and this was like #2 or something. They $pensive tho! I can't justify $300+ on something like this yet. I got my first one(GolukT1) free with an Amazon review club but it crapped out after 2 years.

I haven't personally used Rexing before, but from what I have seen they are a decent brand for the price. Aukey also makes the DR 02 which is similarly priced with similar quality. When it comes to two channel cameras I personally wouldn't go lower than the A129 Duo which is $180 but has excellent video quality for a dual channel under $200, although with a hardwire kit and bigger memory card you will get over $200. I know everyone has a different budget though. Whats nice about Viofo is they are the only non korean brand that does buffered parking mode. Rexing and Aukey do not have this feature, nor anker. Buffered parking mode means when you shut your vehicle off it senses it shut off and switches to a lower power parking mode. when it senses motion it starts recording 10-15 seconds BEFORE it senses motion. They use internal memory to constantly buffer that 10-15 seconds. Cheaper brands start recording a second or sometimes several seconds after. Some also use impact detection only and will record several seconds after the impact. buffered parking mode just assures you capture everything, and that you don't miss anything leading up to an incident.

The issue with Viofo's parking mode is they offer no timer function. High end korean dash cams from blackvue and thinkware offer a way to shut your camera off after certain amount of time such as 12, 24, 48 hours. This is a way to assure you aren't constantly draining your battery if you park for long periods of time. All the hardwire kits will cut off power if your battery is low, but if you run your battery to low every day or two it will reduce its life span. Blackvue and thinkware offer much more advanced parking mode, and cloud features. For example if someone hits my tacoma when im parked at walmart i can have it notify me instantly to my phone it detected an impact. both blackvue and thinkware offer this currently but only thru a hotspot, so you do need a hotspot in your car. I use a freedom pop mobile hotspot thats literally $0 a month for 200mb.

Worth noting thinkware only offers the more advanced cloud features such as parking notification and live streaming remotely with your phone in their newest U1000 model which is expensive!!! $500 currently. but it is the best dash cam IMO available now, 4k front, 1440p rear, some of the most advanced parking modes and decent cloud features.

Blackvue is the King of the cloud currently tho I think, they have been running blackvue cloud for at least 3 or 4 years now, and thinkware has been playing catch up. Blackvue also lets you set areas of the screen during parking mode you want to detect motion, so you can disable the top of the screen so trees blowing in the wind don't set it off. My personal experience with blackvue for 5 years tho is their cams are prone to going out of focus, especially in high heat, and needing to shut off from its high temp protection when you're parked in hot summer sun for too long. Never had that issue with thinkware cams in the 3 years ive been using them.

I own two vehicles and been running the top end blackvue and thinkware cams, one in each, for years now. Viofo is usually a back up cam I use.

Ill link to some of my fav two channel cam reviews below, starting from lowest price to highest. I would consider most of these high end and more than what most people would want to spend. but i think the advanced parking mode features are worth it and have helped a lot of people hold parking lot hit and runners liable. most peoples insurance deductible is $500 so I think its a small price for insurance that can pay for itself the first time you need it. Other wise like I mentioned there are cheaper cams like from Aukey that are ok but are much more basic.

All these cams are available at blackboxmycar and they gave me a coupon code USDASH that gets 5% off your total orders over $250. Use to give me $30 off orders $300 or more, but they wanted to make all the coupon codes for youtubers the same, and if you are ordering really expensive systems you do end up saving more. Theres an entire other world of crazy expensive dash cam batteries that cost more than most dash cams.

warning: my reviews are often long and very boring because I am trying to pack in as much info as possible

    A129 Duo $180:

    https://youtu.be/D4dLzfqUZoo

Blackvue DR590W-2CH note i reviewed the non wifi model but I think only the W model is available now. this would be my top choice if you can spend more than $200 but less than $300 because of its advanced parking mode compared to viofo. offers same parking mode as the higher end models, just no cloud feature. $240:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYAjF6s8gTk

    A129 Pro Duo 4k (4k front, 1080p rear) $250:

    https://youtu.be/ZETdjhH7lxk

    Thinkware Q800 Pro $350:

    https://youtu.be/FgxKqXfOGCE

    Blackvue DR750S-2CH $380:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3TYljCDqbE

    Blackvue DR900S-2CH ~$480:

    https://youtu.be/c2BT-ZI-rLc

    Thinkware U1000 $500:

    https://youtu.be/wy1e6o8ypl0

I am personally not a fan of the budget thinkware cams but they do offer the same parking mode features as the high end ones minus cloud features, and sometimes no wifi.
