Question for those of you that have moved to aftermarket bumpers that required cutting of the front bumper cover:

Is it necessary to completely remove the factory bumper cover in order to make the cuts? I've watched a bunch of 'how-to' videos and that pretty much seems like the only recommended option. I guess I don't understand why it isn't possible to just cut it while still installed. It almost looks like it would be easier to eyeball the straight line if the cover was still attached.

    pointers/tips???

I'll be installing one that requires cutting straight through to the fender well area. Was yours similar or a lo-pro type design that only replaced the area in the lower front middle?

I've installed both lopro and high clearance. You don't need to remove the entire bumper. Just remove and bolts and fasteners that hold on the bottom portion of the bumper.
