Are you sure a bug or a bird didn’t fly in front of you’re bumper and set it off because it’s so sensitive? I have a 17 and opted out of all this computer shit. I knew it was going to be a good idea to keep the truck with as little computer systems as possible.. especially in a moist climate.. electronic stuff breaks down when it’s 100% humidity all the time.. post video please and check the recall list for you’re VIN.

On ANY vehicle, imagine 10 years out you know have an outdated Vehicle Collision Avoidance system.
You won't even want to use it as the systems will become better over time.
Will be like having an outdated radio head.

My 2019 with 4,000 miles suddenly showed brake assist warning light within minutes the truck stalls at a signal and won't restart. Towed it to the stealership. Bubbles, the cutie-pie service writer calls me the next day to tell me it was caused by the LED brake light bulbs I had installed. WTF!!!
I raise bloody hell and finally get the service director on the phone who tries to tell me the LED bulbs caused the fuse to blow which caused the truck to shut down. WTF!!! Then the story changes to you hit the brakes and throttle at the same time which caused the truck to shut down. "That's a safety feature". WTF!!!

that’s an insurance / American bs litigation issue. They put that “as a feature” when moronic drivers sued Toyota over that still accelerating when I’m braking issue (I think started with Prius), something about the floor mat holding the accelerator.

It's not supposed to shut down the truck, though. From what I understand, it's supposed to cut the throttle when you press the brake, but that's it.

I tried this on my 2017 sr5 dcsb to do a burn out and it didn’t work and it cut the throttle.. when traction control is fully off it will do a mini burn out. Truck will never fully turn off though. I drift my truck on occasion :)
