Question, If I have a scan gauge tool connected to OBDI that gives me the ATF temp, any reason I can't skip the "jumping" and related steps?

I think you skip the jumping since you don't need to truck computer to do the flashing P/D application. Just wait until it gets up to 95*F - 115*F (I believe is the start and end of the ATF testing temp range).

awesome. thanks for letting me know. it makes this DIY much less intimidating. I didn't love the idea of bridging ports on the OBDI. Sounds like a great way to fry your ECU if you get it wrong.

Goofy question, but was about to change both differential oils, manual transmission oil and transfer case oil. Does 4-LO and 4-HI use the transfer case? Just wanted to ensure I am changing all the necessary oils.

Yeah it does...little tip on the T-case...it takes like 1.1 qrt and is very spendy. Don't buy 2 qrts for this, just drain old into clean container. Then fill with clean new, and if necessary top off with .1 qrt of the old from the clean container...at 60K my t-case oil was pretty damn clean.

Front diff will be dirty, Tranny will be clean and rear diff clean as well...but i dont know your mileage

Another FYI to expand on this. They sell the fluid in liter cans, a liter is 1.05 quarts.

Thanks, @TeecoTaco, the tip on the T-case was spot on. As well, correct on front diff being dirty, tranny and rear diff being clean. manual trans was clean, too.

Just a heads up...Zero........ Zero zerks on my 2020 TRD OR 4x4. I was not expecting to find any on the rear shaft (confirmed) but was expecting to find 2 zerks on the front shaft. Removed heat shield and rotated shaft many times, there are no zerks on my front shaft on either end. Front Spicer Dana shaft B on 2020 TRD OR4x4 = no zerks at all.

For anyone who has added a rear ARB locker to a 3rg gen sport. Is changing the differential fluid a different now? procedure wise and fluid wise?
