Sometimes all I hear (news, family, work, sports, tacomaworld) is bitching and moaning about the most mundane and asinine petty shit. How about, especially given the time of year approaching, we stop, take a deep breath, and appreciate some of the big deals of life?
Life is short and fleeting. We can be here one day and be gone the next. As I get older my list of friends and family gets shorter. I for one appreciate my health. My 15 month old granddaughter. My wife. My new truck.
Geez guys get a grip. Remember what's important.

I got to ride my motorcycle to work 2 days this week. December and it's 65 degrees out. I appreciate that.
I appreciate the fact that I have a job I go to.
My wife has stuck with me for 22 years, through some really hard times, and I really appreciate that.

It's easy to get bogged down with negativity especially since that makes ratings when it comes to news. I've drastically reduced the amount of news I listen to because of this.
I'm appreciative of my new 2019 OR quicksand and finally being in a Tacoma. I traded in my 2014 Ram Hemi that I bought brand new back in 2013. I miss the power but that's about it.
Also, thankful for all the other good stuff e.g. health, family, home, food etc...

I appreciate not only my job but thefact i work for the kind of guy that donates a $14 million Ferrari to charity. I appreciate my wonderful slightly screwed up kids for dating to be independent and enjoy the results. I appreciate my beautiful new bride and the fact she is more than i deserve. I appreciate the vanilla smell of a good bourbon barrel stout.

Great thread. We get consumed with material goods and “sales” instead of being thankful and giving back.

Two open heart surgeries to repair a dissected aorta within 3-months of each other. Off work for 3-months after each complex surgery and recovery was a PITA. It felt like I was hit by a Mack truck in the chest after I woke up each time. Statistically I should be 6’ under.

I have my own house, with my own vehicle in the garage. I haven't had to go hungry, save for a few times way back in the college days. I have seen large parts of this world, and have enjoyed the physical health and modest income to pretty much do as I please. Except race airplanes. I need more money so I can race some airplanes. :D

I'm thankful for my experiences, my education, and the fact that I face new challenges on a nearly weekly basis at work. I'm especially thankful that my girlfriend is there, on the days that I think I haven't achieved much at all, to remind me that I'm still doing better than most.

Good idea for a thread

I appreciate having a loving girlfriend that I plan on marrying soon one day, having somewhere to live, and ultimately the people around me. I don't know how I would have made it this far without them. Also really appreciate the unrelenting love my dogs give me and that they are always happy to see me every day, even when I step out for 5 minutes.

and of course Tacomaworld and its bullshit'tery goodness:D, I really enjoy this site and all it has to offer!

I was bummed that I had to go to Florida for work this week. I don't normally mind Fla, but it was cold and it isn't supposed to be cold in Orlando. I'm big ole titty when it comes to being cold. Luckily I came home to find the title to my 16' TRDOR in an envelope. I've got a solid job with great co-workers, I'm done Xmas shopping, and my Brother brought a baby to the family making my dad a grandpa so that I don't have to! Ii feel like a turd for complaining that FLA was cold(ish). cheers to gratitude folks.

I quit a job I love after 19.75 years, a week later donated my right kidney to my best friend. Wandered around in my mind what to do while getting back on my feet after 3 months post surgery. Thankful for my wife to understand my actions. These last two months have been an ordeal with two of our three dogs. Two needed different surgeries and I have been able to be the house dude cleaning, cooking, taking care of the family.

Life happens, good, bad, indifferent, for a reason. Sit back, breathe, look, and it will come to you.

    What a great thread!
I get it, it's easy to get bogged down with negativity on the forum. It's just part of the scene.

I read a much older thread earlier today trying to influence members to go easy on newer members when they ask a question we have all heard 100's of times. It helped me to reset my clock and remember to look at the bigger picture.

Don't sweat the small stuff.

My last 2 years have been both the best and the hardest years of my life. This year especially has been hell. But, being grateful for what I've got and the opportunities I've had really have kept my head above water.

Things are looking up too, just started a new job (that is totally going to kick my butt )

Sometimes, we need to be reminded to stop and smell the roses. For the most part, I’ve got life by the balls but sometimes lose sight of that. Thank You @hiPSI for this thread.

Stock AF. My 68 Bronco and 2000 2.5RS get the mods.
I sold my Silverado this morning for a good price (for both parties) to an old guy who loved it.

My ordered tacoma should arrive dec 24th or 26th.

I've had the whole day with my wife and almost-3-year-old son.

    And it's payday.

    And we're all healthy.

    What else matters?

    Cheers, y'all.

    Friday thread? Friday thread.

Still deployed out here in the Middle East but our replacement unit is here. Next week is probably the last week of any actual work. After that it's just waiting for the flight home, then two weeks of demobilization stuff then I'm home to dig in to the mountain of Tacoma mods and PC parts I purchased throughout the year. Not long after that is a vacation/belated honeymoon with the wife and finally getting back to my full-time job which is probably what I'm looking forward to most of all.

I had a very difficult week mainly due to work culture and a few minor health issues. Despite that, I have an amazing wife, two great daughters, two great dogs and a modest but comfortable life that I am blessed to have. My truck is just icing on the cake —and I’m going duck hunting in the morning!

My daughter turns 9 months old in a few days. My fiancée is my best friend. My family is healthy. And I take care of all their needs.

We get so wrapped up in life, stress, work...., we ALL forget what we have in-front of us.

I usually roast people on this forum, but I can stand by this thread.

I’m happy for all of you, and if you’re in a rough spot. . Here’s a story for ya.

This time last year I was at my rock bottom. I was unemployed, I was partying my life away because I was so depressed. I was ashamed of who I was and I was about to lose everything. When my fiancée stood by me, and picked me up, I found the strength to be the man I knew I was always meant to be. A month later ...My daughter changed my life, when she entered this world. I’m, now a year later, back on my feet. I have a very good corporate job. I cut off all the negativity in my life , loser friends, and put my family first.

I appreciate LIFE. Because it has so much to offer if you just give it the chance.

Remember , it’s always darkest before dawn..

Been there, done that. Deployments can really suck —especially being away from the ones you love for long periods of time and living in not so ideal conditions. But, know that we all profoundly thank you for your service and you and your family’s sacrifice. Hang in there, stay safe and God speed.

I recently setup an old Android tablet to display pictures I've taken. Talk about a nice reminder of how lucky I've been, despite what I've told my steering wheel.

I appreciate that my kid still looks forward to visiting us when he's on breaks from college. We picked him up at the airport today. I appreciate my wife of 28 years. I appreciate TW giving me something to do at night besides watching tv. And I appreciate that this feller walked close enough for a shot during bow season.
