    @SportsmanJake , Here's some picks.
    Looks like they are mounted about 3" from the thicker part, see the interior shot.
    Mine are 47" long not including the end caps and they are 38" apart.

    New addition. Took the racks off my old trucks shell and reused on new. I'm super happy with fit and look. I mismatched colors on purpose20191127_131455.jpg

    I did some whitewater paddleboarding in NC. Water temp roughly 57 year around, on this particular river. Air temp about the same was pretty nice

    Found a used Snugtop Rebel with sliding, fold down front window, carpet interior, Yakima tracks (cross bars already ordered), and a reinforced roof. I had a Backflip MX4 on there that came on the truck when I bought it. But I like this much better! Very happy with it. Supposed to be color matched but in this pic it looks slightly off.

    Man, I'm desperate for a top with side windoors! My Bestop soft top has finally started to deteriorate over the years that I want a used LEER or ARE off of Facebook Marketplace/Craigslist. They pop up now and then for decent prices ($300-700) but theres a lull now. Hopefully soon.

    ya I paid $300 for my shell.Looked for over 6 months for it. I passed up one for $500 and didn’t see any that cheap again. Was kicking my self until this one popped up. I was living in Vegas at the time and drove down to Cali for it. It takes time, I would look everyday so just keep trying.

    Same everyday. Check fb market, Craigslist, call some of the shell places and see if they have a used one, hell call the dealerships see if they got a trade in with one. Check on here. I checked once an hour for about a week and found one that had everything I wanted except color match and Drove 5.5 hours one way. Made a family road trip out of it and got one for a really good deal.

    Ya the one I got was a different color. I sold my tri fold tonneau cover so with paint I was really only $180 out of pocket for the cover. Can’t beat that. I painted it myself.

    Just picked up 2020 OR access cab and looking to throw a shell on it. I'm pretty much dead set on the Leer 180.
    Only one thing that really pains me...no keyless entry option, and it's a double T-handle design.
    For those of you that camp a lot in the back or are getting in and out of the shell often, how annoying is it to have to manually unlock/lock the shell every time??
    I realize the snugtop hi-liner has the keyless option, but i'm not a big fan of the design.
    Thanks all.

    Nope. That’s why I had to drive 5.5 hours for mine. I couldn’t find a single used short bed to save my life without buying new anywhere.

    If you had an air mattress inside would you be able to sit up with the height clearance of the MX?

    I just got a new shell for new to me truck and I camp a lot. It has the double handle. I opted not to get windsors because then you have 6 handles to lock. When I do lock the back it doesn't bother me to have to two handles. Although when I'm camping I don't lock my vehicle unless I'm not going to be around it for a while. Not a big deal for me. I've had other shells, always the double t handles. I could've gone with the frameless back window with one handle but didn't like the feel of the mechanism. Good luck

    I want windoors to access the bed from the side instead of crawling in. :)

    I hear that. I really thought about it but decided against it. It's not like windoors are big enough to get boxes or rubermaids out of it, only good for smaller items. I also like the regular windows for locking purposes, shut them all the way and you're done. I almost went for sliding windoors because I like to be able to vent the bed but the ones made by leer (actually all of the sliding windoors) look like crap. So I decided to go old school. Nothing mechanical to fail and work just fine for me. And cheaper. It was a hard decision for me but I'm happy with regular sliding windows
