Anything welding

Got bored so I went out and welded up my bamf brackets. Only my second time welding so here goes ....

 

Only way to learn man! You could always grind it clean so it'll look a little better after you paint it.

 

They don’t look bad! Only people who hate on newbie welders are people who can’t weld. Real welders understand that we all start somewhere.... and sometimes shitty welds can hold more than you expect. Like go ahead and tack weld something in place and try to break it off only to get pissed when it doesn’t come off lol!

what welder is that? I don't recognize it.

 

That gun has the control wiring built into the main plug. Most have a second, small plug for the control wiring. I think your options are going to be limited.

 

This is called a Euro Quick Connect Back end !!

Esab uses lots of these some of the old Airco Dip Paks had them as well

Back end being the end plugging into drive housing

Most all gun manufactures make them.

Another option is a adapter that you can buy to use what ever back end you have or want to use .( Miller Lincoln ETC)

Last Adapter I bought might have been like $60.00 been some time.

Now this could get quite interesting !!

If they are buying the guns from a vendor who builds them to spec no problems !!

If it is a Chinese Knock off of the Euro Quik Connect the dimensions might be off enough things won`t interchange .

In theory any of those guns should easily swap machine to machine major difference would be the size wire your running .(liner/Contact tips)

 

Check out the guns from htp america. I have their 15 ft flex head gun on my everlast and I like it.

They make guns specifically for everlast machines, perfect fit.

 

I dont remember exactly how much I paid but was under $200 shipped.

Boss needed 20 “Mod Truss” (type of truss we use at work) flange connectors made up to connect 2 runs of truss 4 feet apart to lay out dolly track on for the dolly to roll down for long dolly camera shots.

Plasma cut out 20 of these plates and welded some sleeves with a weld nut on each






Also added some fill plates to a set of sliders that I built purchased by someone second hand
