    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
While he's down here, my son decided it would be a good time to get new wheels and tires for his 2nd Gen... and well of course... that means it's time for a lift as well.

    :benchpress:

So, for the last couple days I have been pretty much completely blowing off work and trying to source all the parts for his lift at the lowest cost possible.

Rode up to Sac a couple days ago and picked up some leaf springs/AALs. Grabbed them from @SAMSONITE88... cool dude... Thanks brotha.

    As for my truck...

Started making a winter list of things to do. Seems like it's getting longer by the day lol

Wife made the comment (again) ... "Seems like your truck is a never ending project"

lol @ #26....having a good camera really does make a difference. I have a Nikon D800 but I don't like bringing it on trails because its a big DSLR and I don't want it getting all dusty and crap. I'm in the market for something too that is more portable and takes good quality photos (something more versatile and controllable than a camera phone too)

Some of the "list" items are starting to arrive.

Received the replacement shaft for my coil over. The shaft had some minor pitting when I rebuilt it. I should have ordered 2 shafts instead of rolling the dice and just replacing the bent shaft, when I re-built them.

I just ordered ANOTHER new wheel bearing, dust covers, and snap ring. Hopefully @foxrcing07 will be able to give me a hand with all this when he gets back from his trip out of State

I've been squirreling away rolls of bituthene to use for sound deadener.

Also ordered some heat sheild/sound deadener for under the center console.

Line item 15. I remember you posted about the 105 amp bolt in Suzuki alternator a few pages back. Did you decide against this for the CS144? And if so, why?

I decided to go with the GM alt because it's a higher amp alt and makes more amps at idle.

I was looking at the Grand Vitara option because it was "bolt on" and I didn't know how much of a pain in the ass the GM route would be. The GM is apperantly "bolt on" and replace harness. So it's not as difficult as I thought it might be.

If you're sticking with the GM, there's actually a piggy back type harness (not sure if this is the right term or not) that has a female connector to your vehicle's male connector, and on the other end of the harness is the male connector that goes straight into the GM alternator. Not sure if that makes sense or not but I'll try and find it and link it for you. I think it's saved on my personal computer.

Nice think about the added harness is you can keep your stock alternator as a back up and just disconnect the GM alternator and added harness, and put everything back to stock if you need to rebuild it or whatever else.

Also, took advantage of the cyberMonday sale at The Retrofit Source.

    Screenshot_20191204-144413_Chrome.jpg

Got the main units ordered. Need to figure out what I'm going to do for halos and demon eyes. I have a little time because the lense etching will add 3 weeks, or so, to shipping.

Hopefully I can get in touch with @TRSAndrew for some help figuring out exactly what I need for the Halos and Demon eyes... to make them work right.

Awesome... I think that's the harness I was talking about. If you have a link for that, it would be spectacular!

Not even going to pretend to know what the heck to do with them right now... lol.

Still need to figure out what I need to order to do the Demon Eyes and Halos... so, these are just going to go up on the shelf for a minute.

Had a chance to check a couple items off the "Winter to do" list.

Replaced the old, pitted shock shaft.

    Replaced the.driver wheel bearing.
Figured out what was causing me to burn through bearings. The nut on the back had bad threads, so we were getting to torque before the nut was seated against the bearing.

Went ahead and bought a new tool for the retaining nut.

Can never have too many tools

And I decided it's time to get a decent floor jack and bench vise.
