    Got my Limited Today.

As I get older I wanted comfort and convenience
List Price $44,251.00. They gave me $24,000 for my 2014 Tacoma SR5. That made it $20,251 before tax and license.

I agonized over trading in my 2018 acura for a taco. I'm thrilled I did. If you are going to pay, better to pay for something you want.

You paid MSRP? Don’t get me wrong, I would like a Limited like yours.

Just wondering about the market in your area.

A lot of people online say the cams are terrible quality. I've been debating whether or not to order the advanced tech package on my Offroad. Seems like an awesome feature, but for $900 I'm not sure it's worth it, especially considering how seldom I'll actually use it.

    Who wouldn't lol
Toyota want's to protect the Pro's value, so there won't be any 10% off deals on that one.

This is true! I'm annoyed by the trend toward all bright white (6000k) forward lighting. I typically run 2500k halogens in my fogs, but it won't be a simple bulb swap in my soon coming 2020 OR, since the Rigid Industries LEDs that come standard are lower voltage. I will definitely either swap them out or install a supplemental 2500k light bar.

I'm going with the 2020 Offroad as well. The new features (power seat, android auto, LED headlights) are must haves for me.

From what I am reading dealers are making great deals on the 2020’s excluding the Pro model.

If I were in the market I would research local dealers for a 2020 Tacoma on the last day of the this month and then try to strike a deal. Dealers will will be super hungry to meet 2019 sales goals.

I purchased a 2020 Magnetic Gray OR Double Cab Short Bed MT on Monday. MSRP was 37,700ish so no packages, but small stuff like, LED lights, mudguards, exhaust tip and unfortunately the rear chrome bumper.

Paid 32,050 before TTL with the rebate and another 1k military rebate. I am in Roanoke, VA. I used the USAA car buying service and usually I can get a little more off, but none of the dealers here would do more on a 2020.

That's a solid deal for sure, but having paid cash I would think you'd be in the best position to get a larger discount...at least 10%
That said, it all depends on your location and the demand for Tacoma's in that area.

The 'accessory profiteering' you mentioned is what I hate the most about Toyota dealers. I should be the one to decide which accessories (if any) get installed on MY brand new truck. The fact that they put on all these expensive accessories just to jack up the price is infuriating. This is why I will probably special order my TRD Offroad. I probably won't get as much of a discount as others who are buying off the lot, but I want what I want and given what these trucks cost I should get exactly what I want, not what some greedy dealership manager wants to sell me. Plus I want the long bed anyway and they're pretty hard to come by, especially with the factory options I want.

It isn't just DFW dealers that play the accessory loading game. I've looked at Tacoma's at dealers all over the country and that nonsense is pervasive.

I 2nd the call for everyone to include MSRP and your price paid BEFORE taxes and fees. These really are the only 2 numbers people want, along with your area and the dealer, for research purposes.

Thanks to everyone who has provided their deal details. It has been infinitely helpful for me to see what deals people are getting.

What is the Toyota employee discount percentage? I have access to the Toyota emp disc thru my niece, but I don't know what it actually is. I'll either be going that route or the Costco route, whichever gets me the biggest discount.

What did you pay before TTL? Asking because CA tax is a damn bastard.

    ^ this

When I was wrapping up paperwork with mine on Thursday, I asked about how many cars they move with the year-end Toyotathon. He told me that they had a staff meeting that morning where leadership demanded that they break their all-time new cars sold record this month and were currently off pace.

So their willingness to negotiate so easily made sense. I’m in sales as well and sometimes we’ll discount the hell out of stuff to get a deal out the door to make management happy, even if it deflates commission.

It’s definitely worth a shot to walk in and try it out.

My 2020 Limited had a MSRP of $44,320. My discount was this :

    Invoice $41,952
    - minus reserve $1036
    - minus wholesale finance reserve $419
    - employee discount $925

    Final price = $39,572

I miscalculated at first, but that's 10.7% off MSRP, which is about the same discount I'd expect to get thru the Costco program.

    Thanks for the info!

It can be a benefit, too. It really depends on the deal. If you are getting more than 10% off the window sticker it’s easier to swallow.

I was literally in my salesmans office ordering a silver 2017 Offroad 4x4. I was ordering because I didn’t want all the bullshit. But they had an Inferno Orange OR. It had predator steps I didn’t want, tonneau I thought I didn’t want, and they had already tinted it.

So I got the config I wanted, my second color choice, and nearly 12% off. I sold the steps and ended up liking the tonneau. If the transmission had been better, I would still have it.

Sometimes buying off the lot nets a better deal. But, you have to stick to your guns on your budget. $2-3k in dealer adds typically fucks that up.
