I didn't use it because I wasn't aware it existed. No issues with my Tacogarage grille and Jp-genuine OEM garnish so far. No strain on the harness either when I installed. Fit perfectly without issue.

Taco Garage grille w/ OEM garnish, no harness extender. I've been running it for a few weeks now, absolutely no issues even in heavy rain.

The harness is a non issue IMO, it's plenty secure and not strained at all at the radar connector. Just one clip kinda hangs out in the breeze with nowhere to go lol.

There is a bit of slack in the OEM harness so I loosened the cable ties/anchors and slid them a bit so there is no strain on the wires or connectors.

What are folks doing about the front grill camera in the 2020s? Will it mount easily in a standard aftermarket grill intended for a 2015-2019?

I don’t think there are any aftermarket options yet. The only way I have found to do it is with oem parts and it would be near $1k to do it and that’s only if they don’t require a pro vin to get the parts. I actually like the stock 20 grills now that they don’t have any chrome on them.

Bummer. I actually have the kit with grill and garnish all ready to go but I’m reluctant to install the sensors incorrectly and get frequent codes and/or void the warranty.

On the other hand, with as popular as this mod is pretty soon we’ll be in the minority with our “intact” grills!

Maybe I missed it on this thread, but do you have all the part numbers for the 2020 TRD Pro grill for the OEM set up? I am curious what can be reused from my 2020 TRD Off Road w/ radar and front camera.

I bought the Garnish from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L385472/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and the Grille from Cali Raised. Figured I'd split the difference and go OEM on the real important part (Garnish) and faux on the Grille.

The Garnish didn't fit the Grille. I had to drill out the holes on the Grille up to 3/8" and it STILL didn't fit. I thought maybe I was just being a Debbie Cake and not forcing it, so when I forced it in, one of the clips broke off the damn garnish.. Contacted Cali Raised (I was pretty pissed) and while "cool" they basically gave me the runaround and didn't offer to replace either the Grille, or compensate for the OEM garnish. I was still pretty pissed but I let it go overnight, and the next day just super glued the garnish to the Grille. It's worked fine (mostly, had one hiccup 1 month ago) since then, but now I'm wondering if maybe it WASN'T an OEM garnish. everything looked legit, and there was no film on it, but who knows? Maybe it's a good thing I didn't send an expletive-laden email to Cali Raised.. Oh well.

Long story short, unless you purchase both items from a Dealer, sounds like you never know what you're gonna get..

Or, buy from us, no one has ever had any of those problems with our stuff. and you get both the GRILL AND OEM garnish for price of that garnish you got.
I know its late for you but anyone else reading this should know that they DO have viable options.

I have both OEM and aftermarket garnishes, but YES, the one labeled OEM is 100% authentic aungus beef.

EDIT: sorry I'm hungry, 100% authentic OEM, Toyota part.

Our garnish has ver 6k now and is running good as new. I even installed a front camera right in front and above it to see if that would cause any interference and so far nothing. Still works perfect.
