Here it is 17x8.5 so I guess I'm the same with the wheels just no spaces a lot of people are not big fans of these wheels but I'm going to give em hell until I get some better ones.

They do, but it's nothing to worry about. You said it was a bad idea. I disagree with that and the rest of the testosterone in the room probably does also.

we're all looking for you to provide some proof and examples of this happening on Tacomas. So far your argument is pretty week.

@Nail it's clear you're a fundamentalist when it comes to this spacer topic. A person who adheres strictly to the basic principles of any subject or discipline while having zero proof or experience (at least presented). Great you have your opinion and won't be swayed. Moving forward is there any hard proof or stories about a 1.25" spacer destroying a wheel bearing?

You're giving more leverage to the wheel, against the bearing. Of course it will wear the bearing more. Logic. But when people ask this question their concern is whether or not it will be a shit show of galling and busted ass metal bits in place of a bearing as opposed to not putting spacers in. In my experience, nope, the wear increase isn't even worth noting. And if it were, as another posted, buy another bearing.

I'd be more worried about rock chips in the paint from sticking wheels out too far... but if you like the look then

Well if you're worried about rock chips, better get some sliders.

And if you're going to get sliders better get under armor, and if you're going to get under armor better get bumpers, and if you're going to get bumpers better lift it, and if you're going to lift it better go wheeling!

    Total cost of spacers: $12,000.

You forgot about regearing! And if you're going to regear, might as well lock the front and rear. And then you'll need on board air.

I bought a set of 1 1/2 wheel spacers for my 08 Access cab tacoma in 09. Rode around with 285/r18 tires for 60,000. Installed them on my 12' Silverado with 33/r20 drove that for 80,000. Just installed them on my 17' TRD OR when I lifted it at 450 miles. (Just hit 4500).

I broke alot of parts between off-road and doing dumb shit. Wheel bearings were always solid. But man that silverado ate a few u-joints.
