so even though the instructions even say to put them on different clip levels, what about people who have evened out their front by putting a group 31 agm in the logical hole in the engine bay or got a fat wife in the passenger seat?

im about to install these, and my front end measures even at 19.5 on both sides.

anyone else out there that read the instructions and thought, o yea? make me

ps: i am aware of the 150+ 6112 thread thats 75% about aal and front rake

The stock coils are different to account for the lean, it's why it's even right now.

Installed a pair of 6112 today on my 2017 OR, and I have a 40 lb battery on the RH side.

I went back and forth on going the same LH to RH vs going per instructions, right up until it was time.

Went with instructions. Preliminarily it looks pretty level, but i havent measured super carefully (and dont care that much), and it hasnt had much time to settle yet.

Note, I have steel sliders, front mobtown hitch, and full aluminum skids, and put it on with the provided springs on 5/4.

(No aal here, air bagged rear)

lol i went with the gr31 battery scenario guys.
im single af... so much it hurts

starting to think its for the driver weight. the space between clips is about .25" which is about 150 lbf for a 600 lbf/in spring.

gonna go 6/5 based on the post from @BigWhiteTRD and disappear from this thread never to update it again for people searching in the future. its tradition

Just as it says. Stock coils are adjusted so you don’t have the lean. When you swap for anything that isn’t, that’s when you get the lean. If you don’t want to preload them differently, you can always use a spacer

    Agreed
I will also say that I tried the on-truck floor jack spring compressing method this time, after using the bench spring compressors several times over the years...
The on-truck method is definitely my preferred method now, compared to the old way...

no bbw pics but i got my lift installed on the 6/5 setting with icon 1.5 progressive aal, no overload leaf.

with sliders, ifs skid, transmission skid, and gr31 agm (~300 lb) heres how its sitting before springs settle:

    F Driver: 21.625; F Passenger: 21.75
    R Driver: 22.625; R Passenger: 22.5

On stock TRD OR suspension with new weight at 25k miles

    F Driver: 19.4; F Passenger: 19.5
    R Driver: 21.5; R Passenger: 21.4

will update with new measurements and pics after a month or so once it settles in.

now this thread isnt just useless cynicism. youre welcome. merry xmas ya filthy animals.

    Mine has settled some

On 5/4, with added 50 lb RH battery, mobtown recovery bar, full 1/4" aluminum skids, and steel sliders it is approximately:

    FR 21.6
    FL 21.5
(Full tank of gas and no occupants)

Note, picture is with airbags pumped up to stiffen the ass while sleeping
