Anytime camera not working

I have installed a front and rear anytime camera setup and it worked great for a while but now only works intermittently. I first noticed it in the summer time I would get in truck and camera would not come on with switch or in reverse. Factory radio would just just display my radio pre sets. I would drive for about 10 min then it would work. I noticed if it was cool out it would work fine but if it was hot out, it wouldn’t work but when I would turn the a/c on it would work after cab cooled down some. Now that it’s winter it works when I get in but if I turn my heater on the camera won’t work when I get the cab warm. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Not sure what is getting hot that would cause it not to work

 

If you used the kind with a diode in the harness, then it’s probably that. You can replace the diode for about $1 but it will probably go again if you use the camera override for long periods of time. Diodes aren’t really designed for use in the way some of these anytime camera harness use them.
