One thing I hope all you Amazon type realize is that the most impactful part of a TWSS I've received was the hand written note I got from my 2016 Santa. No one remembers the coolest gift card they ever got or that time Prime delivered ditch lights on Sunday.

I remember the garbage plate and hot sauce I got from a dude in Rochester because it was personal. The gift is long gone and so is the TW member but I still remember how much fun it was to open a gift that someone cares enough to put together to represent things they enjoyed.

    usually northwest of you
    Vehicle:
    2006 4-door prerunner long bed
3" suspension lift, hard canopy, light bar in hood, ditch lights, aircraft cargo bars, powdercoated steel spares, desert tires, bed cargo bars (for rifle cases), misc interior doo-dads
I showed my wife the Secret Santa threads and she knows what to look out for
and since the last unexpected delivery I have been put on restriction from receiving or opening deliveries

but today she acted fishy when we came home and our headlights hit some boxes at the door, and she rushes them off to parts-unknown in the house

I will probably not do this again next year. this has given her a perfect opportunity to place orders for... only god knows what

she has admitted to one of the boxes being from "somewhere" and it contained "something" and that it was, in fact, addressed to our home and had my name on it. so it's not a mis-delivered package.

but past that, nothing. no further information has been forthcoming.

So, whoever has drawn me for this seasons Christmas gift exchange, I am about 80% certain that one of the packages you sent arrived today.

No, I cannot send a photograph of the box that arrived. I have no idea where it's located, and I don't want to wake up to my wife hitting me for snooping around.

But I'm also 100% certain that I saw about eight boxes at the door. And the more I think about it, the less I find it likely that all of them are from TWSS activities.

Now I'm scared to look at activity on my bank accounts.

edit: I re-read what I typed. it sounds like a Dear Abbey letter.

Now I'm drinking more beer. This might be a cry for help.

As wonderful as that would be to have hand written notes and thoughtful gifts and kumbaya around a campfire, the reality is a lot of people just don't care that much. Sometimes we're lucky if people even send a gift card. In this economy, you have to realize most people are in it for the getting and it's just a hoop to jump through to send a gift.

Call me cynical but people as a whole suck. Old folk will say back in my day... Nah people as a whole still sucked. There are some bright shining stars but... Eh this is getting too long.

Short of it is people on TW are some of the best forum people I've seen, there's some aggrevations sometimes but we're all still here for a reason. Keep those awesome gifts flowing, You don't know who's day you'll make with your gift be it a gift card or your blood sweat and tears.

Got my gift to send to my TWSS today. Ordered from Amazon but I had it sent to me so I could wrap it in festive xmas paper with my weak wrapping skills and ship out to him. Should arrive late next week

I put a note in my recent and last shipment. My hand writing is absolute shit though, so I typed it. I did, at least, sign it!

I know. It’s a beautiful color, reminds me of spruce. I think I’m gonna get another Lexus next, just newer than the last one but not brand spankin’ new. Gotta be reasonable so more money can go towards house projects and stuff. Floors, bathroom remodel, backyard projects. Adulting is expensive.

I like the newer Lexi (Lexuses?). I really like the RC F but those are crazy money

Yeah. Thinking about keeping it simple with a ES350 or something. Plus having the option to drive two other vehicles will keep my indecisiveness at bay. Options are nice.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
That would be a great choice.

Because I am generous, do we have any Jeremy Clarkson fans in here? Preferably one that wears size Large tshirts? I may randomly give away a pair of shirts. Cleaned out the beard’s closet and found a pair of shirts that may have only been worn once, maybe twice. Figured I’d pay it forward to my SS peeps.

Here’s the deal, I’m thinking of a number, 1-100. PM me your best guess for my magical number. Whoever chooses the number on the dot or closest will win. If there is a tie, whoever PM’d first will win. Winner receives two large shirts in the mail. I already have your addresses. ;)

guessing contest ends 12/13 at 6pm AZ time.

Gifts are outbound, to someplace considerably West of Maine

Good luck to a Large person!
