How hard do you feel it was a novice? I have never wrapped anything but I am also interested in doing something like this.

While it's not my style, that came out really clean and it looks good. Well done.

Maybe I'm OCD but I can see a lot of bubbles or warping from the bends in the wrap. Personally, I would have just got it hydrodipped. Wrapping is better for surfaces with less bends unless you're really good with a heat gun/knife.

Can hydrodipped be done by anyone? Is it as durable as vinyl?

They sell DIY hydrodip kits. Not sure how durable but I've seen people dip their rifles. I'm sure an interior trim piece that isn't brushed up against often by your leg or body should be fine. @MESO has his dipped in a similar pattern.

Looks good from a quick glance but after looking closer, the lines/bubbles/creases would drive me nuts. I wanted to do something like this but I know it wouldn't turn out good if I did it myself.

No you’re right there are alot of bubbles and seams on it. It was my first time ever vinyl wrapping anything and i think it came out ok. I looked into hydro dipping the trim and yes its more expensive and i cant take it off in the future if i sell the truck or want to change it
