Test Drive Disappointment - keeping Gen 2!

Yup, I test drove both Accesscabs, double cabs, longbeds, short beds, auto and manual I wasnt impressed with any of them. My next rig will be a 2015 or a 4runner (5th gen)

 

This is the reason I went with a second get. It's a truck... the les technology the better

 

I'm happy with my '06. I bought it new and have never had any trouble with it. I did go look at a new Honda CRV for my wife to replace the '04 Sienna. Like so many here I was turned off by the electronic everything. I know it's here to stay but still it's just too much for this old guy. I'm looking at other SUV's that have a few years on 'em so will see how it goes. Love my trusty '06.

 

I’m still over the moon with my 2010 with 150,000 miles. It’s long since paid for, so now it’s essentially paying me every month. I hope to get to 300k on it before I have to replace it. I’m sure the 3rd gens are nice, but my gen 2 is treating me too well to think out “upgrading”.

 

Pretty much the same here. Love mine.
Got my 2006 a year and a half ago with 58k on it and new frame.
Drives (and looks like) new. Excellent interior condition, no rust on the body itself.
I'm guessing it was an old man's truck with that mileage.

I recently retired, so I think it's quite possible this will be my last vehicle.
I want to drive my truck myself, thank you.
I had a hard enough time adapting to my smart phone.
The fewer gizmos to break, the better.
