    I guess it is. Or the 3rd gen hasn't been out long enough for people to have major problems.

    PSA: check your reinforcement plate. It may be vibrating, rubbing off paint and causing rust. Had it installed for 2 years and discovered rubbed off paint on the tailgate as well on the plate itself. Actually the plate faired worse. I just repainted the guts of the tailgate with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. Plan on adding helicopter tape in the areas the plate contacts the tailgate. Need yet to touch up the plate.
